Treatment of Tight Emulsions:
Hydrocarb Trinidad Limited developed a patented process which treats and breaks tight emulsions (Slops) in the oil industry via the use of hydrophobic and hydrophilic chemicals which reduce interfacial tension, increase fluid absorption and produce insitu gases during use, and as a consequence gives rise to clean interfacial separation.
Improved Oil Content:
The result of this process improves oil content with significant reductions in base, sediments, and water. This technology has been used within the local oil industry by an international oil producer to treat over two hundred thousand barrels of tight emulsions, with a significant percentage of success. The treatment process period was for over a year.
