Sand Control Services:
Hydrocarb Trinidad Limited initiated services within the territory of Trinidad in the arena of Sand Control, when in the ’60s a number of newly drilled wells came in with high oil production accompanied by high sand cuts, thereby requiring frequent work over and clean outs.
Gravel Packing/Sand Producing Zones and more:
Hydrocarb not only provided the services of pumping gravel for gravel packing oil /sand producing zones but soon thereafter with the support of its machine shop started slotting liners and machining gravel pack crossover tools, wash down shoes, bull plugs, squash set packer adapters and packer setting tools. Various downhole tools soon became a required commodity item which was then exported and utilized by the State Oil Company of Suriname and Barbados National Oil Company.
