Integration & Installation:
As the Authorized Distributor, Reseller and Integration Agents for Yaskawa Electric America (YEA) for the territory of Trinidad and Tobago, Hydrocarb Trinidad Limited integrated, supplied and installed Speed Motor Controllers (known as Inverters, or Adjustable Frequency Drives, or Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) to Offshore Petroleum Facilities for the State Oil Company of Trinidad & Tobago.
Short Lead and Long Lead Integration:
Hydrocarb provided both Short Lead and Long Lead integrated systems. The Short Lead VFD or “Near Well” systems were placed near PCP operated wells, connected directly, in an effort to control high torque and/or fluctuating pressure situations. The Long Lead VFD or “Far Well” systems were placed on platforms thousands of feet away from PCP operated wells connected by fiber optic cables. Input parameters such as temperature, pressures, fluid levels and pulley speeds were transmitted via radio frequency and powered by solar panels. The historical parameter data obtained allowed the operators to make adequately informed decisions on well optimization and work over techniques required.
